Mission Statement
The cause closest to our hearts is to help women and children more directly and immediately by providing the beauty services at specific events that directly touches the heart of at risk youth, foster children, women and children in crisis of domestic violence, families in crisis, and raises their confidence to move forward in an new healthier direction, and raises their confidence level of both women and children. This empowers women to find a new job.
This also gives counselors from Canyon Acres, Camp Joy CA, and other charities the option to use additional hair cuts donated from the Art of Hair and Beauty Charity League Artistic Stylists, as rewards for their family’s children’s accomplishments, to encourage the setting and accomplishments of goals and academic achievements. We give the gift of confidence and the unwritten visual tool of an image that serves as a goal to move forward in a specific direction.
Together The Art of Hair and Beauty Charity League was introduced to Youth Employment Service to collaborate together to benefit YES' Youth in the Harbor Area... In 2009 together Youth Employment Service and The Art of Hair and Beauty Charity League created Salon Days later called Mentor Salon Days. This is held one day a month. An Art of Hair and Beauty Charity League Volunteer Mentor representing a specific industry shares their career path with YES' youth, encouraging the youth to set goals for higher education. Art of Hair and Beauty Charity League Volunteer Stylists at our Costa Mesa Chapter Salon provide free image consulting, and a new professional hair cut to help YES' youth have the professional image necessary to go to their interviews with confidence and realize their new job. With the many skills Youth Employment Service provides youth in the Harbor Area... with the mentors and the professional image consultation and professional hair cuts The Art of Hair and Beauty Charity League's volunteers provide we are able to collaborate to empower YES’ youth to become financially independent.
The Art of hair and Beauty Charity League was founded to both provide free services those in need and to raise donations for other 501c3 charitable partners to help fight cancer, fight child abuse, breast cancer, and many other causes empowering children, youth, and women in crisis. We do this through our Hair Cut-A-Thons called For the Children Hair Cut-A-Thons, for the Love of Children online auction fundraisers, and raffles, and fashion shows, and our first annual Fashion Show Gala in 2010.
The Art of Hair and Beauty Charity League sets guidelines, fundraisers, charitable events helping others,
For the Love of Children Hair Cut-A-thons, and For the Love of Children field trips taking hair stylists on site to a back2schoool camp benefiting children under protective services.
We also provide 3rd Day of the Month Hair Cut-A-Thons to benefit youth in crisis sent to us from the charities we work with. The Art of Hair and Beauty Charity League has partnered with Youth Employment Services providing Mentor Salon Days and Salon Days for their youth, empowering the youth to feel confident and learn to how the proper presentation with make up and their new professional hair cuts to accomplish and earn a first or new job through the interviews provided by Youth Employment Services.
We also hold Fashion Show Galas coupled with concerts, any beauty related fundraiser and charitable event at salons and other hosted locations, supported by our Chapter Salons and Ambassador Salons currently located in Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, Irvine, and expanding into Los Angeles, and in to other states to become national in 2010 and 2011.
All volunteers benefiting women and children in crisis of domestic violence under protective services, families in crisis must fill out a volunteer application, have their finger prints taken, and cleared to volunteer.
